Hello. Nice to meet you.

Lately, I’ve been circling a question:
In a world with so much to offer, why does so much feel out of reach?

Most of us know what we want—but we hesitate to admit it.
We spend our energy on things that drain us, then wonder why we’re exhausted.
We trade our energy for money, then spend that money trying to buy our energy back.

That cycle isn’t a personal failure.
It’s a systems problem—and a curiosity problem.

The answer is less effort, more alignment.

Today, I work with individuals, organizations, and institutions to align effort with energy through disciplined curiosity: a practical way of paying attention to what’s working, what’s not, and why—so everyday experiences become usable information instead of background noise.

My work blends humorous storytelling with human insight. Across my talks and workshops, I work with audiences to challenge the assumption that more productivity leads to more fulfillment—and begin treating energy, not money, as our most valuable currency.

The result isn’t doing more.
It’s doing more of what actually matters.

In each of my keynotes, I bring these ideas to life. Learn more by clicking the buttons below.

Things I've Tried (and some that have tried me).

Soldier &
Non-Commissioned Officer

Korean linguist, interrogator, Soldier of the Year, expert Humvee washer—and occasional breaker of protocol.

Civil Rights Attorney &
Idaho Supreme Court Hopeful

Argued for change and fought for justice—unknowingly planted the seeds of my “justice is proactive” philosophy.

Corporate Labor & Employment Attorney

Wrote policy, challenged policy, defended policy—took copious notes on how paperwork buries progress.

Adjunct Professor &
Curriculum Developer

Developed “Logic for Lawyers” and “Prison Abolition”—proof that curiosity belongs on both sides of the syllabus.

Mother, Daughter,
Sister, Friend, Mentor.

The roles that don’t make résumés but make everything else make sense.

Children's Book
Author & Publisher

Tried to escape the law by co-creating children’s books with kids. They wrote me back into it with Painting Grace, a story of justice in full bloom.

"Nothing happens to you, everything happens for you."
